Die Statue der Mutter-Gottes steht umgeben von leuchtenden Geranien an einem kleinen Wasserlauf.

The Heberbach is dammed to form a pond in the centre of which stands the holy figure of the "Mother of God in the water" on an island.

History of the erection of the statue:
When one of the sons of the deceased Countess Franziska was travelling to Paris in 1861, he received the unexpected and shocking news on the Rhine that his mother was seriously ill back home. Grief-stricken and worried, he vowed to have a statue erected to the "Comforter of the Afflicted" if his mother recovered. The son's prayer was answered: the sick woman recovered and lived for another 18 years.
