 Among others, canonesses and top officials of the prince abbey resided in the half-timbered houses from the 17th century. In the 17th century, the Labadists found refuge in house number 7 under the protection of Abbess Elisabeth v.d. Pfalz. In 1999, Heinrich Wemhöner built Germany's only history hotel at number 9, with numerous exhibits from the history of the prince abbey.
