The 56-hectare historic spa park of one of the oldest mineral and mud spas in Germany was laid out in the late Baroque period from 1767 and has been repeatedly adapted and expanded to meet the requirements of modern spa operations.

 A large part of the old trees and the "Schneckenberg" have been preserved from the 19th century landscape garden. Three further areas were added in the 20th century.
