Right next to the Sälzerhalle stands the salt graduation tower, which is over 50 meters long and was rebuilt by the city of Salzkotten in 1997 on its original site. The facility is fed with brine from the nearby “Neuer Sprudel” spring.

A trail runs along the Heder River, continuing through the Heder floodplain into the Sültsoid Nature Reserve, which spans approximately 16 hectares.
