Holzerner Aussichtsturm Eggeturm auf dem Preußischen Velmerstot unter blauem Himmel

With its twin peaks, the Velmerstot is one of the largest elevations in the Teutoburg Forest. The Lippe Velmerstot is 441 m high and the Prussian Velmerstot is 468 m high.

 From 1964 to 1994, the Prussian Velmerstot was home to a Dutch NATO base with a radar station and missile base. After the dissolution of the military facility, nature felt at home again.
