The A1 hiking trail near Grundsteinheim is an 8.3-kilometre circular tour with beautiful valley views, forest passages and sections along the River Sûre.

Starting from the Sauerkanzel viewpoint, the trail first leads west through the village and leaves it via the Futterweg. Pass under the B68 and follow the Grundweg parallel to the Sauer to the south to the end of the path. There the route turns right, shortly afterwards right again into the forest and follows the waterway along the municipal boundary to the north.
