- Destination: Barntrup, parking lot at the train/bus station

A varied, sporty loop over the hills between Barntrup, Bösingfeld and Schwelentrup.
On small, hidden paths, the track takes you over panoramic heights through the northern Lippe mountains. The highlight is the "new" viewpoint on the Steinberg, a former NATO station, which is now a NABU biotope. The hilltop has been raised by an artificial hill by around 25 m and offers a magnificent panoramic view of the Iht, the eastern Weser Hills, Porta Westfalica with the Kaiser Wilhelm Monument, the North Lippe hills with the Bega Valley, the Teutoburg Forest with the Hermann Monument, Bielstein transmitter and the 130 m windmill near Veldrom, the Köterberg and the Hohe Asch above Bösingfeld.
The route is very lonely in parts, especially at the beginning and from Bösingfeld to Schwelentrup. On nice weekends there are often motorcyclists on the small district roads. At the end, we take you through the slightly undulating Begatal valley back to the parking lot.

The detailed, written tour description is difficult due to unmarked paths, forest roads, agricultural tracks and country roads. For topographical reasons, the route should be followed in the suggested order.
