Er steigt mäßig an und schlängelt sich zum Teil über alte bemooste Steinstufen hinauf in den Wald. Nach einer scharfen Rechtsknick, mit schönen Blicken hinunter in den Landschaftspark und auf Schloss Rheder wird der Pfad immer schmaler und verwachsener, da er nur wenig begangen wird. Keine Sorge, hier sind Sie noch richtig und schon bald öffnet sich der Pfad wieder und man durchschreitet den Buchenwald auf grünem Teppich. Folgen Sie nicht der befestigten Straße, sondern überqueren Sie diese und nehmen rechterhand vom Baustamm mit dem Sinnspruch wieder den Waldpfad, der Sie nach einer Kurve langsam hinunter zum befestigten Parkweg in Höhe des Rohrteichs führt. Von hier geht es wieder zurück zum Weidenpalais, oder Sie schließen hier an den "Wasserpfad" an, der Sie weiter durch den Park geleitet.
