Easter wheel race at Lügde



2000 years of tradition

Every year on the first Sunday after the first full moon in spring, in Lügde burning wheels are rolled from Osterberg into the valley of the river Emmer.

The town of Lügde is proud of this spectacular tradition and is consequently called the "Town of the Easter wheels".

The Easter wheel race attracts many visitors each year and is also a nice occasion to spend a few days in the city and the region.
